I want to document this for posterity. Last year, three rounds in with a company. Final round scheduled. Day of the final round, recruiter went completely silent. No show on the call. No follow-up email. Nothing. I waited a month, sent a check-in, never heard back. Moved on. Fast forward 7 months, I get an email from the same recruiter at the same company asking if I am still open to exploring opportunities and whether I would be interested in chatting. No acknowledgment of what happened. Just a fresh start as if none of it occurred. I did not reply but I have been thinking about what I would have said
