Attitude Salad Kits Not Halal- Hidden Bacon
I bought this salad kit recently from walmart that is from a canadian brand. It’s caeser salad and looked normal, not a single image of bacon included on the picture. When I brought it home and opened it, the dressing had “natural bacon” pieces inside. This is nearly false advertising since they didn’t include any visuals on the packaging, and mentioned it in fine print writing on the package. I obviously missed that since I chose it quickly in the store when shopping. I am tired of brands hiding bacon in so many products and being discreet about it. It should mandatory to clearly show images and have clear wording when there are any meat or animal ingredients in a product. There are many vegetarians who would eat caesar salad as well as muslims who don’t eat pork. This is not the first time I have seen bacon included in a Cesar salad when it was not necessary. Any other brand I have seen would make it vegetarian or would be very clear that there was bacon in it.
