Abandoned my principles and became a tactical AK guy. Testing PodArms followers on Friday, had ehh luck with some eBay ones but that might be my fault for modifying them. Getting a new mount for the light so it isn’t canted under the muzzle. This plum stock is really strange to me, Apex was selling it as a Bulgarian Plum, I expected a modern polymer died a plum color as you see on new Arsenals, but it’s really similar to Russian plum. It has flecks and a super worn buttplate which makes me wonder if it was military issue. Slightly more brown and glossy than the Russian plum set I have on my 74. But it’s incredibly hard to find pictures of Bulgarian troops using AK-74s online so I have nothing to reference it to. If anyone knows anything more please let me know.

This fucking thing (1942 Mauser, all matching) slamfired on me the other day, thankfully while pointed downrange and thankfully jamming after dumping the second round, and unthankfully filling my pants with shit. Is this a common problem with Lugers? Firing pin and firing pin channel are spotless, my best guess is that it’s an issue with the firing pin spring. Anybody else have this happen? Should I send it to a Luger smith or try obtaining another spring and call it good?
