Using AI to help you write doesn’t automatically make your content “AI slop”
I keep seeing the term “AI slop” thrown around, and I think there’s an important distinction. Using AI to clean up your writing, organize your thoughts, or help you communicate something more clearly doesn’t suddenly make the idea less yours. If the experience, opinion, perspective, or expertise came from you, AI is a tool helping you communicate it.
To me, “AI slop” is when you hand AI a topic, copy whatever it gives you, and post it without adding any real thought, experience, or perspective of your own. That’s when content starts feeling generic, repetitive, and mass-produced. There’s a difference between using AI to help communicate your thoughts and using AI to do the thinking for you.
Where does everyone else lands on this? Has AI changed how you write or create content?
