Till we meet again my sweet honey boy.

Till we meet again my sweet honey boy.

My baby boy Buscemi. He didn’t even make it to his eighth birthday. Had to say till we meet again Saturday morning. We tried everything and the kitchen sink. The details are mute at this point. My brain and body must have believed the world would end when he left it as I’m left feeling confused on how it still can keep going on since he left it. I just want to say the biggest thank you to each and every one of you on here. It’s made me feel not alone and understood in many scary times. 💜💜💜

Holding on

My boy Buscemi has had seizures for about the last four years. He’s actually going quite a while without having a full-blown seizure. He’s had some small focal ones. But a few weeks ago, he had a couple days of extreme turning into the left. Took him to his neurologist they recommended steroids. It seemed to be working really well and we just got the blood test done. Everything seemed to be on the up and up. Yesterday evening when I got home from work. He had lost all his balance. By this morning and he could not stand or walk. I got him to the vet again to see his neurologist. Without an MRI they’re not really sure what’s going on and why he was responding well to the steroids but now it’s not. They gave me a few “it could be” and they are all very scary sounding. They gave him some kind of infusion that supposedly was going to make him feel a little better. But with the warning that if he doesn’t improve by the morning that I have to bring it back in and they’re gonna give him some form of chemotherapy. Fast-forward to just a few hours ago, he lost all ability to stand and walk again. He urinated in his bed because he had to pee so bad and can’t stand to do it. Praying that this goes away and he start to improve. He’s not even eight yet and I’m just not ready to lose him… please send good thoughts or prayers. He needs them.

Spinning in circles/favoring turning to the left constantly.

Friday morning was taking him for a walk. Noticed he was turning to the left a bit. When I picked him up, he turned to the left very strongly. When he goes into seizures right before hand, he’ll turn to the left. That’s one of my big signs so I contacted his neurologist. They said start him on his cluster busters right away. it did seem to improve a little bit. But then by Saturday got worse. I noticed his eyes were spinning around. I got very nervous that he was gonna have a seizure so I took him to the emergency vet. By the time we got there, he was turning to the left very severely. When I put him down on the ground, he just starts spinning around in circles which the vet saw. They really had no answers for us as our neurologist was not there on the weekend they did his vitals. Everything came back OK. He’s off of his cluster busters now. We have them on a little bit of Keppra extra but he should be done with that here today. he’s on his normal seizure medicines like normal. They want us to do an MRI but we do not have the money for that let alone fixing what’s the problem is once we find out. I was hopeful that it was possibly an inner ear infection or vertigo but the vet we talked to did not think that was the case and think it’s just whatever is causing the seizures continuing. Does anybody have experience with this? Or any advice that you would give me. I truly appreciate this page and everyone in it.

Especially in the part where Hal takes mushrooms. I’ll need to watch again and see if I see any more.
