So why add it to my projects tab?!

Update from Prolific assistant:

Hi ****** this can be a bit confusing, but it’s expected behaviour.

Projects stay visible in your Projects tab even if you’re not eligible for a specific study inside them. Being “ineligible” usually means the study has criteria (like age, location, or background) that don’t match your profile. 

A couple of key points:

Projects don’t disappear just because you can’t join one study

You might still qualify for other studies in that same project later

Eligibility can change depending on the researcher’s requirements

So nothing’s wrong with your account — it’s just how targeting works 🙂 

I get that there are probably many reasons I get shown studies that I'm not eligible for, but I thought the projects tab was supposed to be more personalised?

Why cant I see all of the studies on my dashboard?

So, it says 1/2 studies, I can see one. I've got no filters set and there's nothing on the projects tab?

Had this a few times yesterday as well, but was too busy to ask.

A little Ditty to while away the time....

Verse 1
Coffee's getting colder by the minute,
Dashboard's open, waiting for a ping.
Every tab refreshes with a promise,
Then it's gone before I click the thing.

Pre-Chorus
Browser says, "No studies available..."
My heart says, "Just one more refresh..."

Chorus
You only want the ones that pay a fiver,
The twenty pence can pass me by.
Every "Study Full" cuts a little deeper,
Still I sit here wondering why.

Verse 2
Someone else got there about a second quicker,
Autorefresh is tempting, but it's banned.
Then at 7:03 an Aussie survey
Drops a tenner right into my hands.

Screened out after twenty questions,
"Thanks, your responses helped us learn."
Well... did they help enough to pay me?
Nope. That's another lesson learned.

Maybe tomorrow brings the magic number,
Maybe the dashboard finally sings.

I'm Confused. I am doing a study that says 'to be completed over two weeks' but is all availalbe now.

I have messaged the researcher, but no reply as yet. Every time I complete a part, the next becomes available. Should I:

A. Assume that it can be done all at once.

B. assume that these 5 parts are just the first round of studies

C. spread them out myself?

Reason for rejection - valid or not

I had a study form a week or so ago rejected today, the reason given was

"Dear participant,
Your submission was rejected for study "Social Media and Online Behavior" for the following reasons:

  • Other

Here is the message from the researcher:

Did not match required criteria to take the study."

Should this not be a screen out rather than a rejection?

*Still fairly new to this so not sure if this is standard practice or not?
