Yesterday I had a pretty funny situation

I was riding through the city center late at night and stopped at a red light. A drunk guy who was crossing the road saw me.
He finished crossing, turned around, and started a countdown with his hands.

When the light turned green, he waved his arm like a flag and shouted: GO GO GO!

The question is, do you plan you training?
How you understand which type of training should be next?
Or you simply just ride?
