TikTok parent company ByteDance announced a new 2000s themed “Limited time event” called “TikTok turn back the clock” in response to the growing worldwide social media bans.

Many news outlets have come out to call the rebrand “Highly controversial”, however overwhelming numbers of the public have expressed interest and support for the event.

“People are tired of minimalism, a change like this is refreshing to see in the current corporate landscape, and is indicative of further positive change in the framework of the internet as a whole” states political commentator Trump Jr., who took an interview regarding the matter at a hospital where he is currently being treated for rabies.

The rebrand is set to come into effect on July 17th 2026 which coincides with World Fermented Milk Day. Along with the interface changes, it will feature many of the historical events of the 2000s such as the collapse of the world trade centre and Hatsune Miku.

My sheckles and garden got wiped, and my shop showed this strange fruit. After a few minutes everything returned, but this genuinely freaked me out.

I laughed for a good few minutes while making this. All the family tungs are all multicoloured too. There was about 7 of them but I can’t be bothered to photoshop the rest in. Apart from that, it’s about 99% dream accurate.
