What's your opinion on the Mt. Pisgah campground and location?

Planning a trip along the southern end of the parkway in the coming weeks and I'm thinking about doing one of the first come first serve sites at Mt Pisgah for our last couple of nights.

We prefer high elevation camping, and I've done Balsam Mountain in the smokies as well as Mile High in Cherokee. Enjoyed them both, but I like to try new places.

My biggest questions are how secluded are the first come first serve sites? How was your general experience there? How are the bathrooms? (Mixed reviews on Google) Bears? Part of the reason I don't much care for a car camping in the Smokies in summer anymore is because of how many sketchy encounters we've had with bears roaming through the campground.

At the end of the day I spend more time backpacking than car camping, but this is more of a glamping trip to focus on Astrophotography, sunset views, and berry picking so we will be happy no matter what but I'm just curious what experience others had there. If you have any other high elevation camping recommendations near that area feel free to let me know. Thanks!

[USA-TN] [H] PayPal [W] Samsung 2TB/4tb T9 SSS or similar

SSD* oops can’t edit title. Looking for a thunderbolt compatible 2TB/4Tb T9 or similar. Just let me know what you have! I also have a 2019 16 inch MacBook Pro in fantastic shape 1TB I’d consider trading. Looking for a deal that beats eBay prices.

[USA-TN] [H] PayPal [W] Samsung 4tb NVMe

Looking for a 4tb Samsung SSD, 990 would be preferred but would consider a T9 or T7 if the price is right.

I would also consider a trade for my 2019 1TB 16” MacBook Pro if the drive’s value is near that of the MacBook (current average eBay price in good condition is around $400)

TL;DR: it took them nearly four months to get my MacBook Pro fixed, and promised a refund 2 months ago which still hasn’t been sent over.

The week of Thanksgiving I brought in a water damaged MacBook Pro, and was told it would be 3 to 5 business days. I gave them some leeway since it was the holidays. Called them multiple times after 8 business days, no word. Every time I called I kept being told “our tech will call you right back” only to never get a call. Finally I just showed up in person and they said “ oh the parts were delayed it should be fixed as soon as they arrive. Finally, 3 weeks after drop off I got informed it was being worked on. I got in touch with the manager and we worked out that I would only pay for the parts and it would be fixed by Christmas. Sure enough I get a call that it was done on December 23rd at 6pm.

When I picked it up the day after Christmas it had been fixed using the wrong motherboard entirely, the screws were missing from the bottom plate, and one of the speakers wasn’t working. I let them know as soon as I got home about the issues above. I was told they would order the parts and call me when they are in.

After 2 weeks I still had received no phone call about the parts, so I called and got the old “we will call you back shortly” BS again, and then another week goes by. Finally, I called and got someone to actually explain that they had never ordered the parts in the first place and one of the employees literally said “don’t listen to anything the manager tells you” … not something you want to hear from a small business. They get the parts ordered and finally after over a month of waiting I dropped it back off for fix. It took almost another month for the fix to be completed. When I was all said and done, it was over three months entirely for the Mac to get properly fixed. Upon pick up, the person at the front desk was so clueless to the situation that they were about to charge me for everything all over again. I explained everything that happened and then they realized that they were fixing their mistake and I demanded a refund for all of the trouble. She spoke with her computer tech/assistant manager and said I would be refunded in full. Thankfully I have these conversations recorded. And this was in early March.

Now it is May 2nd and I still haven’t received my refund. My emails and calls aren’t being responded to. At this point I’m wondering if I should start sharing the story to other social media platforms with the recorded conversations/phone calls.

I’ve never experienced such a shit show of customer service and lack of organization/professionalism. I just wanted to get my Mac fixed and Support a small business but it was the worst customer experience I’ve ever had, McDonalds included. And this is coming from someone who has operated a small business before and worked at other small businesses. Hopefully this will save someone the trouble in the future, and if you need Mac repairs go to Capital City in East Nash.
