Do you belong to a cult?

Have you cut off friends and family that don’t agree with you?

Do you have an “us vs them” mentality?

Do you feel loyalty to a certain group?

Do you have zero tolerance for anyone that criticizes or doesn’t agree with your beliefs/views/opinions?

Do you only read articles, books or watch programs that align with your beliefs/views/opinions?

Do you “attack” others for not agreeing with you?

Most individuals don’t recognize that the group they’re joining is considered a cult. Studies have found that many cult members experience attachment insecurity prior to joining a cult. Their insecurities may drive them toward a group that promises acceptance. Once people join a group, they’re usually distanced or distance themselves from other people that think differently.

Is that all there is to ___-wingers?

Nothing but bad faith arguments, goal post moving, invocation of special privilege, undermining via infantilization and gaslighting, etc.?

Makes me sad, to be honest.

These are adults who've been so thoroughly brainwashed that they genuinely can not fathom the idea that they've been groomed into defending the positions they hold, who are so insecure and emotionally immature that they just follow the next cheapest impulse for personal gratification in whatever shape it takes to "win" the "argument" with someone who's genuinely just trying to help them?

What even is this shit? Just a massive bully-victim complex they lack the introspection for to even identify their behaviors as such?

FYI, this question was already posed. But with one word changed. Funny thing is, they are both legitimate questions. I’m betting the answers to the other question and this one will be glaringly different.

Let the games begin.
