What about your nails?
Hello! I have surgery soon for ETT, lipo to flanks, MR, and BL. One of the items on the prep list says patients should come to surgery with bare, natural nails short in length- no artificial coatings to include clear polish, colored polish, dipped or acrylic nails. I have long natural nails that I religiously get done every 3 weeks. I get the dip powder but no extensions or acrylics ( unless powder counts). I know it's silly but it makes me want to cry to have to completely cut my natural nails and have to start over trying to grow them. They grow painfully slow and it took me years to get to a nice length. I have had prior surgeries including a hysterectomy in last couple of years and they didn't bat an eye at my nails. I am curious if anyone was also told this? What did you do? I probably just need to get over it don't I? Sigh.
