It did didn’t it, It did didn’t it, It did didn’t it, It did didn’t it.

It did didn’t it, It did didn’t it, It did didn’t it, It did didn’t it.

Behold! The 20D double ended Maglite!

I don’t use the YouTube home page.
My Subscription feed is my oasis from the algorithm. This is where I go to watch videos I’m nearly certain I’ll enjoy because I carefully curate the channels to which I subscribe.
Spam in my subscription feed is unacceptable.
I will not be subscribing to the WAN channel if it continues to upload clips, as they clutter my feed.

I’m a diehard WAN viewer. I normally don’t catch them live, but I always watch or listen from beginning to end. I will continue to try to do so, but without being subscribed, I bet I’ll end up missing a few and gradually phase out completely as life catches up, without the show on my sub feed. I really don’t want this. I want to keep watching until the day the music dies.

It seems like you really don’t want to make another clips channel, so how about posting the clips as shorts only? Maybe reserving the rare video format clips for the hyper viral “Hard R” moments.

This is a reference to the fact that I have no idea what I just watched, but it had the budget of three concerningly sticky nickels and a used McDonald’s napkin.

The idea was simple. I wanted a 22lr pistol that had all the glorious capacity and reload speed of a mag fed semi-auto, with the ability to instantly cycle to the next round if you encountered a dud primer (as can sometimes happen with cheap rimfire cartridges) that is afforded by a revolver.

Before anyone says it, the problem is not solved with the Landstad 1900 Automatic Revolver.

My stupid solution is a pistol with a locking bolt, and a spring powered action that initiates on the release of the trigger. The primary spring in this action is “loaded” by pulling the trigger.

I warned you it was stupid.

Yes, this means the trigger pull on this abomination would be nearly unusably heavy!

But the design has two advantages: 1. The gun will cycle every time you pull (and release) the trigger, whether the ammo functions or not; and 2. Due to the necessity of a locking lug and the delayed cycling, this gun would be as silent as a bolt action when suppressed (and before you release the trigger).

Point 2 would also add to the gun’s inherent accuracy if it weren’t for the fact that it will take nearly all your quivering strength just to pull the trigger. Though at this stage of development, it wouldn’t be difficult to add a “precharge lever” to make individual precision shots more feasible.

The reasons for this thing to not exist are many. But I can’t unthink it. I’ve brainstormed out just about every mechanical aspect of this thing on paper. I think I’m ready to start prototyping with my 3d printer.

But before I spend untold months and years trying to make this cursed idea a reality, does it even sound interesting to any of you?

Do you think anyone would want to own one at least as a mechanical curiosity?

Please ask me anything about the details of how this would work, or give me any suggestions on how you would do it!
