How can I encourage more leaves on the main branches of my bonsai?
Hi everyone, I’m looking for some guidance on my bonsai. I’d like to encourage more leaf growth and ramification along the main branches, especially in the emptier areas closer to the trunk.
Should I be pruning the tips, wiring differently, or adjusting light/fertilizer to help push new growth back on the branches? Any advice would be appreciated!
Note I’m giving the tree high Nitrogen fertilizer once a month. I’m getting lots of flowers new leafs replacing old ones, but unable to make the empty areas make new buds.
