Freekid's Cover of 'WOW' + thoughts on SANTOS BRAVOS future music
Just found out that Freekid did a cover of "WOW". This rendition sounds great to me; it does have a very familiar "Latino" sound and vibe that adds a different flavour to the song. It would be cool if SANTOS BRAVOS watched it, I'd be curious to see their reactions. I really hope for interactions with other Latam boy groups.
Disclaimer: I'm not here to compare groups, rather to explore if other Dual also have thoughts and hopes for SANTOS BRAVOS' future music.
Looking through the comments, I've seen that some people imply this is the sound Gabi or fans expected SANTOS BRAVOS to have. I also saw others arguing that other Latam boy groups have a more conventionally latino sound that's more familiar with Latam's general audience. Not inherently better, just more familiar.
Personally speaking, I love their current discography, and 'DUAL' has a tracklist that explores different sounds and vibes to showcase their core concept of duality. I'm curious to see if Hybe Latam is open to steering more towards more conventional Latino sounds in the future. I wonder if they decided to go this way to ease in the global public's taste for their debut EP, or if they wanted to go with a more "tame" vibe, given Kenneth is a minor, so perhaps more "out there" lyrics may feel inappropriate.
