What if Everdell Used a Drafted Starting Hand?
Been messing around with an Everdell variant lately and it’s honestly made the opening of the game feel way more interesting.
The idea was pretty simple: I wanted to cut down on those early turns where your starting hand feels like it decided half the game before anything even happened. So I borrowed some drafting ideas from games like MTG built a setup variant around it.
So far it’s made the first season feel a lot more interactive and strategic, with players shaping their own starts instead of just accepting whatever the deck handed them.

Curious what people think — especially if you try it out.
