Long time gon

These ended up being more of a project than I anticipated. N scale. Micro trains. A bunch of passes of gray and brown. Patched. Accidentally a pass of white. Brushed rust. Graffiti. Powder.

I need to learn to hand graffiti. I ran out of small white tags and couldn’t do exactly what I’d envisioned. That and the little tags have a lot of visible backing showing (particularly on the opposite side of the SCL). I tried to micro sol them but ended up taking off a lot of paint too so I stopped.

I don’t really love how the SCL came out (just now noticed 2 of the patch numbers escaped at some point too), so it may eventually get some experiments with denting the top and sides.

They‘ll get loads eventually. I wasn’t real happy with the set I ordered.

As always, critiques appreciated.

New addition to the yard: 3102

N scale Atlas B23-7. These are pretty good models out of the box so no extra detailing for now. Panel liner, a light fade, a very gentle grime pass on the tank and trucks, then finished with powders.

Thanks to the Model Railroad Club of NJ for being so welcoming and letting a guest run on their lovely and gigantic layout. I realize now a dozen cars may fill up a shelf but its not a very good train. However it is the first time I've gotten to run most of my weathered stuff in a consist all together.

idk what my phone was doing to make everything so red, but I dig the effect. N scale, IM hoppers, Atlas B23-7, weathering by me.
