Tuesdays with Morrie is overrated af

Another pseudo philosopher trying to write ‘deep’ stuff, and ends up boring the hell out of a reader. I was excited to read this one for a long time, and I ended up finishing it in one day, and forgot all about it the moment put it back in my shelf.

Mitch Albom should have stayed a sports journalist, instead, he became the Chetan Bhagat of ‘inspirational’ books.

What’s your opinion of this book?

Need help with editing!

An agent liked my fiction manuscript, but wants me to make some changes. The problem, according to her, is that the book breaks ‘show, don’t tell’ rule consistently. The agent also offers in-house editing service for a fees, which makes it even more dubious.
My argument is that that is a narrative tool I have consciously used since the book is very meta in its style.
Can anybody here help me with guidance reading first few chapters and giving me feedback?

We slept on a genius - Uday Prakash

Only recently I stumbled upon the works of Uday Prakash, the master storyteller.
So far I have only read some poems and a short story called TIRICHH and a novella PEELI CHHATRI WALI LADKI. And boy, when it comes to Hindi literature, he’s right at the top with the all-time legends Premchand, Shukl, and Prasaayi ji.

Uday Prakash’s writings are post modernist, bordering on magical realism, are almost always questioning the status-quo, superstitions, the concept of God and divinity in the modern world and with sharp satire with a bold voice!!

TIRICHH is probably the most haunting short story I ever read.
Chhatri wali ladki is possibly my favourite Hindi novella now.

Both are available free online. Please explore him if you haven’t.

If you have, please recommend the best of his works, I am willing to add him to my paperback collection.
