Nerves making me question if im wrong

Yesterday I had my contraceptive implant removed. I've been on contraception since I was 17/18. I'm 36 on Thursday.

Prior to contraception I was always irregular with periods.

The past two years I have started really struggling with hormonal acne, and hormonal hair loss. I have struggled with my weight all my life and have always had the stereotypical b tummy.

Had a private blood test which confirmed I have insulin resistance.

My hormonal blood tests from last year showed nothing other than slightly raised proclactin.

I have a pelvic ultrasound in 3 weeks. I was referred by my GP last Month when I went in to discuss my thoughts of possible PMOS.

They said they had questioned it but the blood was fine but I don't think it will be that but can check with an ultrasound.

I had my implant removed to allow my body a break and to reset to normal.

Im starting to question myself if I have it wrong and its not pmos. But its the only thing that makes sense will all my issues

Is it silly this puts me off

Hi all,

I have been looking at starting monjaro.

Im severely obese, have pmos, insulin resistance and high blood pressure at 35.

For the past 2 years I have been going to the gym 3-4 times a week, ate high protein balanced diet in calorie deficit. Walked alot.

At most lost 2 stone.

I had knee surgery 12 weeks ago, cant exercise but diet has stayed the same. Gained most of it back. Proof the exercise was essentially just maintaining everything.

I started to admit I needed help with an aid. Started looking at monjaro as it will be better to help with my insulin resistance but looking at all the websites they say they will inform my gp.

Is it silly that is putting me off? I have issues with a judgy gp who has made their opinion on weight loss medications very clear to me, even if they are an aid to help.

Question for when to start

Recently had a private blood test confirming I have insulin resistance. I have an appointment to discuss this with my gp. Now its been confirmed and im already doing the diet and exercise recommended for it iv decided to see if wegovy or monjaro will help.

Should I wait until I see my gp before getting it or just start now?

I have to wait 3 weeks for the appointment, and as I'm UK based There is no chance I will get it on nhs in my area as they don't offer it.

Hi all

I had surgery 9 weeks ago for a lateral meniscus repair. Healing has been going ok, down to using one crutch.

Last night in bed i moved my leg slightly and felt a pop that I haven't felt since before the surgery which was from the torn meniscus but it was in a completely different area to before

Does that mean it has possibly failed?

Trying to decide what to do re getting insulin resistance checked. Gp doesn't do the test so I have to go private and have found a private online service that lets me do it at home.

Do I get the single HOMA-ir test done or get one which does a full hormone panel and other bits as well or do i do the single one how and do the full one a few months after iv had the implant out.

Price difference between them is £149 for HOMA-IR and £199 for the female ultimate hormone check

My gp said my tests were normal when they were done last year but she didn't tell me what tests were done and any of the results, I wish Scotland had the ability to see results on an app like England does
