Can collectors, how do I fix this?

Can collectors, how do I fix this?

So my fiance has always wanted to collect cans and is a big fan of coca-cola, and for his birthday, I got a bunch of cola-cola flavors to add to a hamper I'm creating for him. Due to lack of mobility, I ordered these from Blinkit and they came a little damaged (good enough to drink from, but not good enough for collecting 💔).

Any idea if I can fix it some way?

This book is making me hungry 🥲

Recently started reading this one, and every other page has this elaborate dish that I start craving it. Even when the narrator is snacking on some shelled beans, I feel like trying them myself 😭

I've heard this book gets sad later, so I'm gonna be hungry and miserable 🥲

Tell me what you think of this book (no spoilers pelase)

Help! Is my 'In the Miso Soup' a knock off?

I just received this and it instantly threw me off. I read a lot of books to notice a book that's slightly off. The cover is too glossy, and the pages are just waayyy too white. It feels like I'm reading my schooltime textbook 😭. I have another Ryu Murakami book in the same edition (picture 3) and it looks so different. Look at picture 4, it shows the difference between the page color. Can someone please tell me if this is fake and I should return it, or am I just being too paranoid??

Also, the last page is missing the page numbering and is followed by 5 blank pages, so idk 🤷🏻‍♀️. Help!

NOT a Children's book!

I watched Bridge to Terabithia (movie) when I was much younger and I didn't think about it often. Recently, I had the urge to watch it again, but because I read so many books, I thought I'd read the book this time. If you go on to buy this book, it'll say its for ages 8-10 and even the author is known to write Children's books. But.. this book is so much more! As an adult, almost 30, it hits different. This book is about, friendship, grief, innocence, and the magic of childhood. I was teary eyed throughout chapter 12. You can read this in one sitting, but I'd suggest read it over 3-4 days for it to not feel like a children's book.

And yes, I will watch the movie now, and break my heart again.😭

My books hate Monsoon.

I hate Monsoon for a lot of reasons and this is one of them. Gets so annoying when the cover curls up. Somebody please tell me how to stop this from happening, apart for the weight method. 😫

Flipkart Bookmarks: Pure Nostalgia!

I thought of cleaning my book storage today and look what I found! Those good old days when Flipkart used to send these collectible bookmarks with their books for FREE!!. I had almost forgotten about them, but seeing them today brings back so many memories. I was just a kid when my sister bought me books from Flipkart (A set of 'Diary of a Whimpy Kid') 😅 and I got these bookmarks with it. I think I'm missing couple of them here. Do you also have these?? In some other prints perhaps? Feel free to share! 😁

Review: Unputdownable!

I recently finished reading Confessions by Kanae Minato and this is the first book by this author that I read. Despite 10 hr shifts, chores, and normal sleep schedule, I finished the book in less than 3 days 😭.

The book had a gripping hold on me, always ending a chapter with a massive hook that would compel you to not stop there. It's psychologically stimulating and is written so simply (not poetic, not a heavy read, no lines you'd have to read twice to understand what they mean). The 6 chapters are divided into 6 perspectives. And the for the first 3 perspectives, you wouldn't expect who's the next one. All in all, a brilliant book!

This is how I protect my paperbacks.

For years, this is something I do almost ritualistically. I rarely buy hardover books because they're heavy, difficult to carry or read in bed, and they are ridiculously expensive. So, I buy paperbacks, and the day I receive them, the first thing I do is tape the edges of the cover. It isn't always the prettiest thing on books (if you do it carefully, like the top side of this book in the photo, it's barely visible), but it's still a lot better than ruffled edges. The books I didn't tape many years ago all have those puffy, ruffled edges on the covers. If you don't like those shiny edges on matte covers, you can use matte scotchtapes like the one I've used in the picture. Hope it helps someone preserve their paperbacks better :).

Also, this is my new read :)

The sudden dark twists after a perfectly happy moment.

I've read this very moment in so many different books. It really sinks my heart instantly and I catch my self saying "Why?" Over and over. 🥲
