Apparently some Seoul apartments get their own market

Apparently some Seoul apartments get their own market

I had no idea this was a thing.
On certain days, vendors set up right inside apartment complexes selling fruit, vegetables, snacks and all kinds of food.
Honestly feels like one of those parts of Seoul you’d never see as a tourist.

KTX really has everything at this point

Found this vending machine on the KTX selling drinks and snacks, which is normal enough.
Then I noticed you can charge your phone here too. Honestly pretty convenient when you’re stuck on a train with 5% battery.

Why is everyone walking barefoot here?

I kept seeing people take their shoes off and walk through this red clay trail.
Apparently barefoot walking trails are actually a thing in Seoul, and some even have places to wash your feet afterwards.
Honestly kind of want to try it now.

I didn’t know Seoul did this during heat waves

I came across a refrigerator full of free bottled water today.
Apparently, the city puts them out during heat waves so anyone can grab one.
It’s a small thing, but I thought it was a really nice idea.

Is this an amusement park in Seoul?

I came across this map while walking and honestly thought it was for an amusement park.

Then I realized it was a guide map for Haneulgung.

I had no idea a place like this even existed.

Has anyone actually been here? What’s it like?

This might be the most unique bookstore in Seoul

I stumbled upon Seoul Book Bogo recently and ended up staying much longer than I expected.
The massive bookshelves filled with secondhand books make it worth visiting, even if you don’t buy anything. It’s a surprisingly relaxing place to spend an hour.

I think I found my favorite free viewpoint in Seoul

I was looking for somewhere quieter than Namsan and ended up at Eungbongsan.

It’s only a short walk uphill, but the view surprised me. You can see the Han River, Seoul Forest, and a huge stretch of the city without the usual crowds.

If you’re visiting Seoul and want a skyline view without waiting in line, this place is definitely worth checking out.

I just found out the Space-Out Competition started in Seoul

Apparently there’s an actual competition where the goal is to do absolutely nothing.

No phone.
No talking.
Just sitting there.

Honestly, I’d either fall asleep or get eliminated in five minutes.
