Is hiring a writing service worth it when I'm stuck

One comment on the job search thread triggered me. Been ghosted by local listings in Austin TX for about three months now. My job title is Marketing Manager, so I didn't look desperate just didn't get noticed. Old resume format stuck me. I'd been scrounging for free templates on GitHub but nah. I'd been talking about using online resume writing services on a few calls but couldn't justify the cost when I was broke.

Started searching for best online resume writing services a few weeks ago. I read the resume writing services reviews on the main feed and noticed the mixed feedback. Some called it expensive, others said worth the time I'd save. I actually saw a thread recently calling out a resume writer who just copy-pasted generic headers. Didn't want that. So I looked for resume writing services online and found the pro actually looked at the content. Is it the review resume writing services everyone mentions? No, not exactly.

Phrased it right. Got two callbacks in ten days after weeks of silence. It wasn't free magic. Still had to fix some skills gaps on my end. Had a weird interview moment where I swapped a typo on the printing but otherwise it held up. Still not full time yet but hope. What's the biggest mistake people make when fixing their own resume?
