I'm all over the place. Good Lord.

So im 40 days post-op. I went in for my post op check in and they couldn't asses due to how narrow and tight my canal was. She could only insert a fingernail worth, and she felt a band of scar tissue. She was unable to feel the cuff at all. She didn't feel comfortable clearing me since the cuff was hiding behind the scarring and said she wanted to do a vaginoscopy. I'm so tired of this. The fact that my canal couldn't even tolerate their instruments last time, which caused a big laceration, makes me uneasy and extremely nervous. I also hate that part of my body and knowing people have to be down there again really fucks with me on a different level. It's scheduled for Sept 3rd, and I know I need to do this, but i just can't take it anymore. The spotting, the tenderness, the worry of moving wrong. Plus, I feel so guilty about missing work due to having a small team. I'm due to go back to work Monday, and I hate that I'll have to miss shortly after.

Has anybody had this done due to their canal being extremely narrow and small? They've got to use pediatric instruments on me. I've also never used that part of myself. Been on T almost 10yrs now. I can't do this anymore.

Questions about fatigue, stamina, mood, etc.

Hey everyone! 19 days post op (i got everything out), almost nearing the 3 week mark. I'm kinda nervous about all the fatigue stories I see on here at around 3 weeks. How many actually felt that way, and how long did it truly last til you felt better again? I've noticed my body has been going thru a hormonal shift since my ovaries are out, but nothing crazy. I had hot flashes the 1st day and then dealt with some irritability, still kinda am irritable tbh. Another is a tad bit of anxiety. I know my body is just trying to level out but I'd like to know how it was for you guys? I've been on T just about 10yrs now so I didn't thing the "menopause" feeling would actually be a thing. I guess it is? Any experiences from those who got their ovaries out would be wonderful if you're comfortable enough to share. Thanks!

Recovery

Hey so I'm 7 days post op (everything taken out). All has been well as far as the pain and gas goes. I thought I was on the uptrend to healing when yesterday (day 6) toward the evening, I went from patting brown blood to fresh blood out of nowhere. It's still bleeding. I wouldn't say heavy but it's slight and kind of consistent? I have no pain, no fever, no nausea or anything to indicate infection. I did get a vaginal laceration that they had to stitch up during surgery and surely if I popped a stitch on that one, I would have felt that, right? Which leads me to believe it's the cuff. Anyone else have fresh bleeding about a week into recovery after all week of pink and brown spotting?

Hot flashes on my arms

I'm only 1 day post op, and I woke up this morning with warm arms. Nowhere else, just heat flashes on my upper and lower arms. For context, I had everything take out, including my ovaries. Could this just be a hormone thing? I'm about 10yrs on T if that helps.

I did it!

Finally! After 10 years on T, I finally got my hysterectomy and ovaries removed yesterday. I got the best sleep ever when I got home, too. Woke up today with a huge smile despite the soreness and stinging pee. Aside from bottom surgery, all of my surgeries are complete! Woohoo!

Getting my Hysto 7/9.

After putting it off for so long and all the pain I've had, I'm finally set to have my surgery 7/9. I've been on T for about a decade now, and I was wondering if anyone has had similar pain and if the hysterectomy helped?

Over the last couple of years, I've had increased pain in my lower left pelvic area. This pain could be described as a crippling, horrendous cramp like pain. So much so that it has numbed my inner thighs before. It occurs mostly while I'm asleep or relaxed and wakes me up from a dead sleep. I notice it more when my food is digesting, actually. It's not every time, but it's more frequent than what it used to be. (Never had this problem before my transition.)

I was wondering if anyone who had this kind of pain found out that they had endometriosis and possible adhesions? If so, did the hysterectomy help? I only suspect adhesions because of the digestion pain I described. The pain feels like it wants to prolapse out of me. I'm quite nervous that post surgery, I could develop scar tissue and actual adhesions that would leave me in pain once again. My mind is all over the place right now. My doctor is fully aware of my concerns, but I was curious about anyone else here. Thanks for all of the insight this group already shares 😊
