I did NOT kill any of my bloody mary pups, yay

1st pic is today,

2nd is all the foliage I cut off to avoid water loss 19 days ago (recommended by fellow r/nepenthes redditors),

3rd was taken 19 days ago as well, about a week after separating it from the mother plant.

Kept in perlite + distilled water at all times.

As recommended, I enclosed them (in a 5L bottle, as can be seen in pic 1), therefore kept it very humid, as of today, a few have already rooted and even the most dead looking pup has new leaves. Both comments from my previous post and I doubted the chance of survival for most. But today most of them have grown at least an extra two leaves.

I'm so happy y'all :P

I'm so proud of my Rebecca Soper 🌝

I got her in a store equivalent to home depot about 10 months ago, late september I think. Everyone has been telling me her sibling (my n. bloody mary I got about a year ago) is more beautiful, idk, I can't get enough of the deep red and those big pitchers, this plant has to be my favorite out of my whole collection.

This plant amazes me everyday, the recently opened pitchers have such nice varied (idk if that's the right word) color, something I never saw with the lower pitchers. Never knew a plant could bring so much joy into my life.

I fear I'll have to re-home it sometime soon as it's about to get taller than my plant light setup. That's absolutely heartbreaking as I wouldn't know who I'd give it to, we don't have many carnivore growers where I live, don't want this nep to land into wrong hands.

Edit: omg I didn't notice how badly the second photo is cropped lol, I took it so y'all could see the coloration of the pitcher rim.

Propagating(?)

Was my previously successful attempt just luck?

Putting rootless pups into wet perlite (distilled water) worked wonders for my Rebecca Soper, but these Bloody Mary ones have been a pain, I fear they'll just dry out completely before a root can be seen.

Trying perlite because sphagnum wasn't a success either.

Perhaps it's too early to judge? I know they take long to root, but most of these look like they're on the brink of death lol.

Or maybe it's a species thing as well? Idk.
