My mom (73) lives to scan in all documents and photos in her retirement and needs it to just work.

She wants an all in one with a flatbed scanner that has great quality and can do various file types (PNG, PDF, JPEG, and TIFF). She has an M4 Mac Mini and her HP all in one (Mfp m283 cdw) was perfect for her before she updated and couldn’t easily scan anymore. HP webpage no longer lists updated Mac drivers for this model.

She wants a color laser printer. I’m thinking Brother would be the best for longevity, but I’m open to any model people here would recommend. Looking at printers myself, I realize the budget is probably around $500 and we’ve made our lease with that. Please pass along your thoughts and recommendations.
