Was up stupid early and decided I’m not letting the heat beat me down! Owl’s Head to Rockaway and back. Wish I got a shot of all the sailboats in the narrows but I was hot and ready to get home. Happy cycling!

I’m a three season commuter (not summer; teacher) in nyc. I have all the cold weather gear I need. It’s been hot here and tropical humid. I’m curious what gear you use and/or find useful for hot weather.
I dislike sunscreen and would love recommendations for sun protection. I’m considering sunsleeves (arms/legs?). I just shaved my head so an under helmet cap recommendation and or way to prevent sunburn/wick sweat would be great. I ride in street clothes so any recs for wicking materials would very much be appreciated. Hydration/electrolyte products or hacks, especially diy, also appreciated. Any tips or experience with products and I’d be very grateful.

I do many long rides in summer. I have water bottles and a commuter with a rack for groceries and getting around as well as a road bike for longer (40-60mi) rides.
