Looking for advice on selling/pricing my Fuji Silhouette 1.7
Hey so fair warning I know. Nothing about bikes. A friend sold me this for $75. I have a Fuji Silhouette 1.7 that I’m getting ready to sell in Chicago, and I’m trying to figure out a reasonable asking price and whether there’s anything else worth doing before I list it.
The bike currently has a working front disc brake. The rear brake wasn’t working because the rear wheel that was on the bike didn’t have a disc rotor/mount for the existing rear disc brake setup.
I now have the rear wheel pictured here, which has both the cassette and disc rotor. My plan is to put the tube/tire onto this wheel and install it as the bike’s rear wheel. That should solve the missing-rotor problem and allow me to get the rear brake working again once everything is installed and aligned.
The bike otherwise rides and shifts and has Shimano components.
Mainly wondering:
● What would you realistically list this bike for once the rear wheel/brake is installed?
● Is there anything else I should service or check before selling it?
● Would you sell it locally on Facebook Marketplace/Craigslist, or is there a better place for a bike like this?
● Anything about this model/components that I should specifically mention in the listing?
I’m in Chicago, so advice based on the Chicago used-bike market would be especially helpful.
