From the Italian master Lucio Fulci comes his unofficial sequel to George A Romero’s: Dawn of the Dead 1978. The film belongs to the “Video Nasties” era and upon release was forced to cut around 2 minutes of footage deemed too disturbing for Western audiences at the time. Starring the Scottish actor and farmer Ian McCulloch and female co-star Tisa Farrow (both starring in multiple Italian exploitation films of the time) and Lucio Fulci himself as a police chief. With an amazingly haunting soundtrack by Goblin, this film pushed many boundaries with its confronting sleazy gore. A must watch for anyone into zombies; but get ready to be disappointed as the film crescendos into one of the worst endings ever released to celluloid. A 2011 Spanish psychological thriller directed by Jaume Balagueró who also did the REC films and another underground gore fest called Inside (2016). Led by the actor Luis Tosar who plays the role of the miserable, psychotic concierge perfectly; with the female co star Marta Etura playing the victim.
