We spent a couple of days on a small island, the best vacation is when you can bring your cat 🌸
Who walks after us like a dog and ventures out on the smallest adventures but meows at us as soon as we are out of sight. Who think it’s best to stick to hiking trails because pebbles are uncomfy and tall grass is a bit too tall. Who loves birds but is the worst hunter I’ve ever seen and literally couldn’t hurt a fly even if he tried. Who once tried to climb a tree but fell down onto a rock (he was fine, vet-approved, we’ve since then had a serious talk about safety at heights)

I love my cat to bits. He’s three, we adopted him last November and he has been such a sweetheart and asshole at the same time. I wanted a cat that was more like a dog, someone loyal who wanted to come with us on adventures.
It was surprisingly easy to get an indoor cat used to the outdoors, and now we take him with us on our favourite hikes and afternoon fishing trips or the occasional mushroom picking. We have him in a harness with a GPS-tracker on, but rarely use a leash because he doesn’t venture far from us anyway. And anytime something scares him he comes running back. I don’t even fear for the forest mice or birds because he’s such bad hunter (and hilarious to watch).
Here he is on a forest trail on the way to our favourite beach, and in the sunset on the cliffs.
