Hi folks,

Following up on my previous query about routing car app data through my phone's hotspot:

When I tried scanning for available Wi-Fi networks in the car, the system only detects my weak home 5GHz Wi-Fi. It completely fails to see:

3 stronger home 2.4GHz Wi-Fi networks.

My phone's mobile hotspot (even with the phone placed right inside the car).

Is this a known infotainment bug or is there a specific Wi-Fi band/frequency setting on the phone/router that the car requires?

Any workarounds or tips would be greatly appreciated!

Hi everyone,

I recently bought an XEV 9s. My phone connects automatically and runs Wireless Android Auto whenever I get in the car.

I have two quick questions regarding onboard data:

Data Routing: When running onboard infotainment/passenger screen apps like YouTube, Alexa, or other streaming apps, it seems to default to the vehicle's built-in eSIM data plan (which has limited data). Is there a way to route these apps through my phone's mobile data (hotspot) while keeping Android Auto connected?
Data Usage Check: Is there any way within the infotainment settings to track the remaining data balance/usage on the vehicle's eSIM?
Cost of onboard data : What's the onboard data limit and how much is it to top up ?

Would appreciate any workarounds or tips from fellow owners! Thanks!
