I love Guild Wars 2 and it's art style, so I tried to make my own frame from it!

Hi guys, first time "creating" something new.

I used the official paint brushes from GW2 to resize, blend and mix them to create this watercolor style frame.

The idea is to mix background color + text box color to do 1 or 2 colors mix, like in the example, and for 3 4 and 5 colors use the gradient background with the colors and the golden text box. The 5 Color example is the UR-Dragon, but we are free to paint it how many colors we want.

I added the geometric white frame so it feels more like a tcg card and remember something like a real painting.

For now I did the 5 colors, artifact and the 5c gradient background.

This is the first version, so don't mind lil misalignments from one card to another (specially P/T), I already fixed it on my PSD but some examples were already generated and I didn't want to remake them.

So, up until now I like this:

- the blend on brushes got really cool and the mix/match of colors ended much better than I thought without getting to confuse

- simple text makes it really clear to read

- I can use a full art on the background (ur-dragon, urza, emrakul, etc), I can use it cut inside the white frame (kinna example), I can use an art only on the top half (vivi, ob nixilis, taimi and rytlock examples) and in all modes I think it stays true to the idea and good enough for it to be used, since it's painting splashes ans brushes it doesn't really "mess" the idea of the frame.

- really simple setup that could be used for most cards (except planeswalker)

-despite being focused and inspired by Guild Wars 2, I think it has enough personality itself for it to be used in multiple ways/themes.

What I don't like, need to improve and would welcome some ideas:

- Maybe the text box is too "empty"... I tried to add a divider somewhere to separate Name from Type from Rules, but when I added some to try, I thought it got too clustered or heavy.

- I'm really not well versed on photoshop, so I have some trouble in small assets, like mana symbols, specially the phyrexian ones that are colored (like on kriik and heliod), if you guys have any symbol collection that would fit into this theme, maybe even colored ones...

For now I think that's it. Hope to receive some nice feedback!

After I think this is finished Ill share the PSD with everyone =)

Any Custom Card Frame guide? Like, sizes, texts to put in, common measurements, etc...

Hi guys,

I started a few weeks playing with some proxy sites, card conjurer, proxxied, MPC, ProxyShop and it is really cool how everyone share everything, but I think it's time for me to create my own frame I'd like to use.

I was thinking on a Guild Wars 2 themed frame/deck and thought I could try making my own frame for that, I love GW2 watercolour art style and would try to emulate that on my new frame, but I'm kinda lost on where to begin.

Is there a guide on creating card frames with usual placements, sizes, fonts, image sizes, etc... even some tips like good practice stuff, bad practice?

I know we can completely dismantle MTG card frames and go crazy, but I like to keep at least some original proportions and feeling so it still feels like an MTG card.

Thanks alot!

Light Paws / Geralt of Rivia EDH Custom DnD Frame Deck - explained

Hi guys, I was messing around on Proxxied and saw that DND Custom Frame made by Trixx for the Scoot and OffPlanetVibes (MCMan6482), I think original art is from OffplanetVibes but Trixx adapted it for ProxyShop app, which made it possible for me to customize it.

I thought it was perfect for a Light-Paws deck I saw sometime ago from Daedalus19876: https://moxfield.com/decks/b7JEv8j9d06-BicRKi2Lwg

So I finished all the cards in the decklist (even sideboard and maybe) with the frame from those creators.

I used Trixx template (https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1nG2eqR8-MDZCjDkkefQwg0MdDVNH\_x23) for ProxyShop app (https://github.com/Investigamer/Proxyshop) and most images from mtgpics.com, but some are really not that great, but I didn't mind much cause even low resolution images with the treatment from Trixx template and the "paper" frame stil looks good, like old paper.

PS: Trixx templates are for the old 1.11 version of Proxyshop, not the most recent.

I need to tell you guys, Proxyshop is an amazing tool, I joined their Discord to get some help understanding how to use it and people were really amazing answering even kinda dumb questions I could've answered by searching chat history on there. It's been a while since their last update, but everything seems to be working fine even with Photoshop 2026.

I changed some images that were just too bad, or I simply didn't like, the most absurd will be the "With greater power..." from Spider man, I really didn't want that, so I just put the Gideon Oath art. The changed arts are: Idolized, Galadriel's Dismissal, Enter the Avatar State, With greater power..., Eiganjo Castle. Basic plains I just asked for a snow plains with a wolf on The witcher theme on Copilot.

I didn't print it yet, so I don't know how it will come out the printer yet on the bad images.

Here is my drive link with all the images I generated:

https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1-KzeuTz9KKCEey2P7OHgMBJQtf7giuGZ?usp=sharing

Since so many people helped me create this, I thought I would share with everyone what I managed to make, nothing professional but I liked the results a lot, hope this post helps more ppl creating more stuff and sharing =)

Thanks everyone that helped and art creators!

Where can I find this template/frame from "Trix are for Scoot" to finish my deck?

While navigating proxxied I found a lot of cards with this template and thought it fitted very well within my next Light-Paws deck... But there's some cards I'm missing. I found "Trix are for Scoot" drives on https://mpcfill.com/contributions with their folder called DND, but I would love to have the frame myself so I can finish the other cards for my deck.

Anyone has it or know where can I get it to use on cardconjurer.app?
