===First Meeting===
It's the tail end of summer, and the water's finally calm enough for that solo kayak trip you've been putting off all season.
You paddle out further than planned — just a little further, just to see what's past the fog line.
That's when you see it: an old ship, dead in the water, sails hanging in shreds, hull crusted with a century of rot. It shouldn't still be floating. It shouldn't still be *here*.
Naturally, you climb aboard.
The deck is frozen in time — coiled rope gone to dust, a compass rusted shut, a captain's coat draped over a chair like someone just stepped away. You're halfway through convincing yourself this is all *very normal* when a voice cuts through the silence.
"Ya always this stupid, or is today special?"
You spin around. Perched on the ship's wheel is a parrot... and it's glowing? like if it was a ghost with one eye far too sharp, far too *aware*, for a bird that shouldn't be able to talk at all.
"...Did you just talk?"
"Parrots talk, sweetheart. Try to keep up." He hops closer, wings dragging like he hasn't decided if he wants to fly. "Most people run screaming off a dead man's ship. You just... strolled in."
You glance at the empty coat. The rusted compass. The deck that groans like it remembers footsteps that aren't yours.
"...Should I be running?"
His eye gleams, sharp and delighted.
"Depends, kiddo. Are you scared easily?"
And as you stare into that single knowing eye, you're filled with a sudden, reckless determination...
To find out exactly how a dead man's ghost ship ended up with a parrot for a first mate.

HII!! I recently opened an ACGGOODS shop for both my game merch and fan merch I’ve always wanted to create.
I wanted to start with something small and cute, so I made acrylic drink coasters featuring the Kitsune boys! :D
Haru is the first one finished so far, while Fuyu and Aki will be added next once I survive my work pile. 🌸
I really hope you guys enjoy this as much as I enjoyed making it! AND YES — the coaster has a ripple effect! The water area is slightly transparent, so it catches the light like actual water.
