Is it time to stop and quit…?

For writers: have you ever felt it was time to just give up and stop writing?

I originally got into writing after my cancer diagnosis and recovery. It was a whole new world and a chance to learn an entirely new skill.

When I started, it was so liberating. I'd had characters in my head for years, and I could finally give them a home. Writing helped me process a lot of things in my life, including past relationships, people, and even my own health.

Then writing became a source of stress.
Somewhere along the way, writing became "what is good for the meta?" I still wrote what I wanted, but since writing takes so much time, I hoped to either find a path to monetize it or at least have a positive impact on a reader: make them laugh, or help them connect with something my character was going through.

While trying to learn how to grow, I realized I needed to network. But that only added more time, more stress, and a reminder that I didn't always fit in with that group either. What once gave me liberation has left me with so much doubt.

I don't know if this is burnout or a sign I should walk away. And honestly, I'm scared that if I stop, I lose the thing that got me through the hardest part of my life.

If you've been here: did you take a break, change how you write, or quit? Did the joy ever come back?

Fractured Divergence - The Cosmic Jailer

Meet Diamond Dust

I wanted to wait to release this, but health and life circumstances pushed up the timeline.

He was a powerful side character in my main book, and a friend kept telling me he had MC energy... so here's his story on a divergent timeline. It's written to be a secondary entry point into my universe. I hope y'all enjoy.

[mono-romance] [soft-progression] [time-manipulation] [self-contained-story]

Beat Cancer and Choosing to Live w/ More Creativity and Courage!

Hey Yall

New to the community and to writing in general. I recently survived cancer, and I told myself that since I don’t know whether it’ll ever come back, I should just do the things I normally wouldn’t. Live with more creativity and courage.

With that said, I wrote this fiction because I always had an idea that was fun to me, and I figured the characters deserved a home outside my own brain.

I wanted to see if any of y’all would be interested in checking it out.

And for my fellow new writers — I’d love to read your book in exchange for you reading mine, so we can talk and chat about them. I feel like so many writers share their work because they want to share their thoughts and ideas. I’d love to know your worlds.
