Poseiden ride, did anybody else get bruised

Hello,

A couple of weeks ago, my friends and I visited Europa-Park and Rulantica for the first time. We had an amazing time with the group. The only downside was our ride on Poseidon.

Some of our group went on the ride while others stayed behind. I thought it would be a nice way to cool off. We got into the boat, and I sat by myself in the front row because we had an odd number of people. The ride started, and after the first drop, my friends and I winced in pain.

The entire ride was so rough and uncomfortable that I didn’t enjoy a second of it, except for the spray that helped cool me down. I joked with my friends that I was going to feel it for a while. Jokes on me—I ended up with bruises the size of my palms. They weren’t light bruises, either; they lasted for about two and a half weeks before starting to fade. My friends also had some light bruising, but theirs cleared up earlier than mine.

The next day, when I entered the pool at Rulantica, the bruised spots felt constantly irritated and painful.

Did anybody else experience this, or was it just an unfortunate combination of the seating position and my size? I feel like I can’t be the only one.

Nail salon, with nail art.

Hello, I will be visiting as a tourist and have been scouring the sub and the internet for possible nail artist recommendations. I have found some salons that do very basic beautiful nails. I want nail art for my summer vacation—I do this in every country and place I visit. Any recommendations would be great. It does not have to be a salon.

I keep striking out on Instagram and Facebook when looking there, its very annoying.

(I also read about Fresha—it’s like another version of Treatwell, which we have in Europe—but I didn’t see a lot of options either for nail art. That might be because of the location. If you have any booking platform recommendations, I can scour those as well.)

VIP Entry Time Amsterdam?

Hello!

I bought VIP tickets for the "This Is For" event in Amsterdam on the 30th (and regular tickets for the 31st). Both days show the same entry time of 18:30. However, my VIP tickets for the 30th include a soundcheck, and I can’t find any information about how late I’m allowed to enter or when the soundcheck ends.

I’m planning to visit the pop-up at Vasumweg 38, 1033 SC Amsterdam beforehand, but it takes about 45 minutes by public transport to get to the venue. Can anyone help me figure out how late I can arrive and be let into the venue? Thanks in advance!!
