Insulation Advice (for 17th-27th June)

Hello everyone!

I'm leaving for a solo TMB trek in four weeks and wanted a sanity check on my upper body layering system before I commit.

I've built the pack around going ultralight, so I've kept it lean:

  1. Base - Patagonia Ridge Flow T-Shirt
  2. Base - Rab Force Sun Hoody (can be layered with the t-shirt if need be)
  3. Mid - Patagonia Nano-Air Light Hybrid Hoody
  4. Shell - Patagonia Duel Aspect Jacket

And that's it!

This has been more than sufficient for cold, wet trekking in Wales, but I'm aware the TMB is a different beast - my primary concern is whether it is warm enough for mornings and evening on the TMB.

I have these as options if I need to:

  1. Patagonia Down Hoody (420g)
  2. Patagonia Nano-Puff Jacket (369g)

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks 🙏
