Would you listen to a more "Busted-style" Night Driver Album?
We all know that Night Driver is the black sheep of Busted's outings. They tried something new for the reunion, and while I enjoy many tracks from the album (I firmly believe Easy is one of the best Busted songs ever), I know it is unfairly looked down on by many, and almost ignored by the band because of its mixed reception compared to the first two albums, Half Way There, and GH2.0.
I recently made a post about the ultimate Busted setlist, and included alot of ND songs, but in the comments I spoke about the potential of them playing them with their current tour setup (ie live guitars with distortion and fuzz, full drum kit etc) and it got me thinking.
Would you like to see Busted go back to ND and incorporate their style into the songs? Maybe it could result in a more synth-rock style that was more apparent on Easy and one or two others, as opposed to the pure synthwave vibe the album had, or even opposed to the pop-punk style we know and love from them.
On What You're On with guitar solos instead of sax? hefty basslines and soaring guitars on Coming Home? Eddy's drum fills on New York and the title track? Could be something special.
Let me be clear, I love ND the way it is. I dont need the songs to change, this is just a fun thought experiment.
