Has anyone switched from Multiboard to OpenGrid? What are some of the Pros/Cons you've noticed since switching.

I printed some Skadis boards for my wife's crafting area and she's been very happy with that. I decided to use Multiboard for my 3D Printing & Tool area because the YouTube algorithms made me think this is the best system out there. Now that I've printed my boards and am starting to add things to it, I'm beginning to have some regrets. This system is way too complicated with all of the different parts, connectors, etc. Also I find it difficult most times to easily snap or screw something in without having to use some brute force.

I'm not at the point of scrapping the entire Multiboard and starting over just yet, but I think if I move to a new space then I will consider using OpenGrid instead. If anyone has had similar experiences, I would love to hear your thoughts.

As the title mentions, I used the Plate Mounting Planner to design a 800mm W x 1000mm H board of 8x8 tiles. The planner says I need 124 dual clips to connect everything and after trying to install about half of them, these things are the bane of my existence. Very tedious, some break, and the boards require quite a bit of pressure to get them to snap into each other. Also before anyone asks, yes I'm using the dual clip tool.

Are these absolutely critical? Or would holding everything together with just the snaps be sufficient?

Does anyone experience issues with their screen not turning on? Every now and then my screen will go to sleep and typically tapping the screen will wake it back up but sometimes it just won't come back on. The printer will continue printing and everything is fine. To fix this I just turn the printer off (after the print job is done) and then wait a few seconds before turning it back on. This isn't a big issue for me but I'm just curious if anyone else has experienced this with their A1.

Edit: They are still doing the numbering system but they won't start giving them out until 5:30pm.

I'm planning to build an 8' x 4' Multiboard wall for my tools and supplies. I'd like to incorporate both multiboard accessories as well as the Multibin system. Does anyone that uses both systems have any feedback on the best way to approach this?

My original plan was to just use interfitted 8x8 Multiboard plates for 1 continuous wall. To mount the bins, I'm not sure if I should stick with the Multipoint system or use Multibin Grids to then attach to the Multiboard plate.

After digging some more, now I'm wondering if I should just use a combination of Regular Multiboard plates with Multibin Grids to create the 1 continuous board. I'm not quite sure where I want the bins placed just yet, but my thinking is this will give me the versatility to easily swap plates between Multiboard vs Multibin connections.

I built a big Skadis wall for my wife's sewing/craft supplies, but am considering using Multiboard for my tool storage. I've watched quite a few videos explaining the system and recently downloaded the Multiboard Learning Pack which was helpful to understand the different snaps and mounts, but I still have a few questions.

Print Material

• I live in Texas and my garage gets very hot in the summer. I am considering using PETG for the boards, but PLA for the snaps, hooks, accessories, etc. Will this hold up well or should I use PETG for everything?

Mounts

• Multiboard is obviously very expansive and has a ton of different mounting options. Is there a trimmed down list of what would mostly be needed to hold up power tools, bins, and shelves? Particularly which snaps would be the best ones to use.

Multibins

• How do I secure Multibins to a Multiboard wall? Do I need to use Multibin Plates which attach to the wall? or are the bins secured directly to Multiboard via the Multipoint attachments?

Going this long without a BM! is not good for one's health. I hope Dr. Darkness prescribes something for a big release at MSG.

Think about it

My wife is wanting a printer for her birthday but I'm not sure which model to get. Priority is to be able to print photos at home instead of ordering them through CVS. We'd also like to be able to just print basic documents as well.

I was looking at the Epson EcoTank Photo ET-8550. Curious if anyone has any experience with this printer or if there's any cheaper recommendations available.

I have a dashboard which I'm displaying on my iPad in kiosk mode. From time to time I'll notice that the dashboard isn't up to date with what is actually going on in the room. For example a light shows on in the dashboard but is actually off. Force closing the Homey app on the iPad and then opening it back up always refreshes the dashboard and it's back to normal.

Is it possible to automate a dashboard refresh in a flow? Currently I'm not seeing any cards that do that but would love to know if anyone has been able to solve for this.

For me it was Dripfield. Whenever I would listen to it on Nugs, it didn't really do anything for me. When I LIVED it though, wow! Have caught it live a few times now and it's amazing every time. The most recent one in Austin followed by Into the Myst was fantastic!
