I bought a raspberry pi 5 and I'm using it as a home computer but I cant find a good OS for it (more information in body text)

So I recently got Ubuntu after I got my raspberry pi 5. I chose Ubuntu since it is obviously the most popular OS, The OS is okay but it doesn't exactly fit my needs. I'm looking for a distro that is lightweight and when I say lightweight it should either come with only the bare essentials e.g: notepad, browser and calculator (those are just examples) and not with other apps I would find unnecessary e.g libre office, or the camera app which came with my Ubuntu distro. And I was hoping the OS would have cinnamon support. The most important mentions is that I'm using a old dell monitor from the 2000's which only supports specific resolutions therefore I struggled to find a good distro since the resolution of the monitor wasn't supported, If anyone knows a distro that would fit my needs please leave a comment down below. (please don't fry me, I'm new to Linux and I'm just looking for help thank you 😃)

I built a computer case out of plywood for my rasberry pi 5

I built this at my school in our shop class during the semester.

It took me around 4 weeks and the case obviously is very simple but effective as it can store multiple components

Let me know what you think 😃

If any of y'all are interested or inspired I'd be glad to leave the blueprints in the comments just let me know
