Had a very refreshing shave tonight with the old Wilkinson sword, paired up with a Perma-sharp and WS sensitive soap. 3 passes WTG/XTGx2.

I find it a very mild razor and definitely pays to have a sharp blade loaded up - then you can pretty much throw it about willy-nilly and get a comfortable shave with good results👍

The old Boots brush makes a reappearance, hanging on in there with what backbone it has left!

Superdrug asl and Nivea post shave went down well too

First time using this soap and splash since AA and first time using the beast in ages😄

I loaded up with yesterday's Perma-sharp and had at thee...

Clearly I got complacent and thus gave myself a nice nick under the nose on the first pass hehehe

Slowing down I carried on with my usual 3 passes (WTG XTGx2) and had a very close shave indeed, lovely.

The Tobs Sandlewood/Old Spice combo was pleasing and not to soon either

It might not technically be a tech by name, but hopefully the second photo next to my 1977 model - shows that the Super Blue is one by design completely

I quite like it in this form - even with the really lightweight handle, I suppose because of how long ago tech was released and the fact it's still being made, albeit in this type

I enjoyed the lavender Tobs very much and made up loads for the 3 passes I had WTG/XTGx2

Thought I'd show the little glass jar I use to soak my boar brushes and also my current bowl (originally had a pot pie in it and for the price they charged - you better believe I'm going to get some more use out of it😄)

Time to show my 1920's old type Gillette a bit of love today, and with the 3rd use Perma-sharp it did a very good job

Took the Goldie for its first ever shave and the first fougère Friday I've done in a month. 3 passes wtg/xtg-x2/

The razor itself - an early 60s one I believe - handled well and shaved just like the 50s Regent model I have, close and fairly aggressive - doesn't have the smoothness of a Schick but perhaps achieves a closer cut and looks dapper in black and gold 😎

The MDC - heated up with some warm water was just superb, thick and held the water nicely.

The scent I'd describe as not particularly strong is still very complex and very natural - like being in the woods on a wet day / really lovely stuff

Came across this lovely little set on eBay a few days ago and was able to nab it for the princely sum of £7.50

It looks to be NOS as it shows no signs of wear and it even had it's original blank blade inserted (pic 3) so that's good news

Have just given it a quick clean including the case - with antibacterial soap and warm water and going to give it a go soon

Splendid would be the appropriate word for this one, honestly I have missed this razor and how close a shave I can get with it.

The GEM blade - now on its 7th (4th on front side) to my surprise was still sharp and cut very well, just starting to get a bit draggy so perhaps one more on the other side then I'll call it, but we'll see.

Tabac was an absolute comfort and paired with the gold Ever-Ready set I went from feeling flat as a pancake all day to feeling like a million quid

(that's pounds - £ to the yanks out there😄)

Ah I have missed this stuff! And the slant - new to me was great, it is light at 16g but it is very well balanced and the blade felt incredibly rigid and without chatter.

Found the correct angle quickly

1st pass - handle tightened all the way up felt mild/

2nd and 3rd passes backing off the handle in increments until i found quite a decent amount of blade feel actually, 100% the closest shave I've had in a month 😄

Went for a big helping of the CF lime,

Good to revisit the omega boar after a month of synthetic and 4711 was the icing on the cake👌

Last weekend with the Colorlamb SE at least for a while, it's been a fun and easy little razor that hasn't broken or got funky - just worked and not too shabby!

Overall review : Decent and worth the money.

Takes me 3 passes to get a close shave (wtg xtg-x2 today) and it struggles a bit under the nose with the pesky ones - that said it doesn't have any overhang so you don't have to worry about those sharp edges,

Upside it has a nice weight and hand feel, easy to use, cheap and great audio feedback

Got myself another little metal sign for the den (Mrs approved😂👍) - it's coming along well now eh

Very nice indeed, warm water lathered up the Tobs Sandlewood lovely and the silver blue cut alright but will bin it after tomorrow's.

The old Gillette behaved and I had a lovely couple of passes : wtg/xtg

The silver blue was sharp, brush was good as always and the old spice Tobs Sandlewood combo whilst getting a bit repetitive - still working well

Nice to take one quick pass today when I could - wtg, really looking forward to all me razors and soaps now 😅

Not fed up with the combo of Tobs sandalwood/old spice per se - they both perform fantastically but the overall spice scent is quite one sided and I'm very much looking forward to some Royal Forrest/MDC Fougère, Cella amongst others for the variety.
