Fixing an SNES Part 4: part out
Unfortunately, this system is beyond fixing. I couldn’t get it to display anything that wasn’t a corrupt image. I tested the cartridge slot from my fully known working SNES and that didn’t fix it either. I also confirmed that the system was getting power as well. I’m positive that the CPU is bad.
I decided to dismantle the main 6 chips of the board. I’m all out of chipquik and soldering braid.
My question is, there’s a lot of extra chips on the board. Should I remove those too, or should I just leave the board as is?
