Urine strainer - what am I catching?

Urine strainer - what am I catching?

Sorry, this is gross. 🤢 But I’ve seen lots of gross stuff on Reddit, so I figure it’s okay?? 😂 Just curious what all this junk is! Sand/gravel? What’s the greenish junk bottom right??? A few dark specks - possible stones? I’m collecting stuff into a baggy to take to my cysto next week. Tried to add this to my other recent post, but it wouldn’t let me, sorry.

I think I’ve caught a stone?

58f here. CT in 3/21 noted 1 nonobstructive stone in left kidney. CT in 1/25 showed 2 nonobstructive stones in left kidney, largest was 7mm. CT in 12/25 showed 2 again, the largest had grown to 12mm, which is said to be rapid growth. Smallest was 5mm. Had trace blood and 3-5 RBC in UA in 6/25, none in 8/25. Started eliquis in 8/25. Can’t remember when I started seeing pink-tinged urine. Must’ve been in 2026, as I don’t remember having it in 12/25 when I had hernia repair. 🤔 When I remembered to take eliquis twice a day, it was redder, brownish once. Usually I remember to take it once a day and bldg wouldn’t look as bad. I quit the eliquis last Saturday and there’s no visible blood in the urine again. (Eliquis is for bout of a-fib last year - been in normal rhythm as far as I know ever since - I know the risks). Urologist gave me the spiel about “nonobstructive stones don’t cause pain or bleeding”. So I’m doing the work up triad. Urine cytology was negative - but I guess low grade is often missed on that? Cysto and urogram are next Monday. I’ve had dull ache off and on in left flank for years. Have to imagine stones are still growing and/or I’m producing others, too? I have occasional discomfort deep in my left abdomen and groin, too. Never severe. I started straining my urine on my own to see what I might catch. Appears to be a lot of whitish sediment or something and a few dark specks. Hoping for good results next week! Then I can tell the Dr to catch up with the times and quit telling ppl nonobstructive stones don’t hurt or cause bleeding. Ha 🤞🏼
