Which would you swap/trim to add me some AMPX?
Looking for outside perspective on a rebalance I'm mulling over.
Current setup (this is a tax-advantaged account, so no tax drag either way):
PLTR - avg cost ~$110. Had a monster week on the Nvidia partnership + Army NGC2 win, but it's still trading north of 100x earnings and down ~29% YTD even after the bounce.
PGY - avg cost ~$10.70. Fifth straight profitable quarter, beat EPS by a wide margin last print, raised full-year guidance. Only been in this one since March and somehow I got lucky and timed the bottom it seems. Earnings coming up soon.
I'm considering adding AMPX, but it's tough as I have to sell a position in one of these first. PGY is coming up on earnings soon and I suspect it's going to rip higher as it's got a lot of momentum behind it.
One thought I had was to trim the gains from each of these ($35k from PGY and $14k from PLTR) and put that into an AMPX position. Thoughts?
PLTR is definitely the pricier one but consistently performs well, so I picked it up cheap last week for a quick turnaround once I saw volume return on a positive day.
What would you do?
