Hitting close to 100 F in southern New England the past few days. My little barrel pond water was boiling and I grabbed the reflective visor for my car windshield and covered it.
This way the plants can breathe, the fountain still works, and my fish don’t boil to death. The water is much much cooler throughout the day. Any tips?

I adopted this runt when he was about 5 weeks old back in 2006. He then went onto maxing out at over 30 pounds for most of his adult life. About 5 years ago he got diabetes, and after insulin treatment for a couple of years, it went into remission. Kid is a tank.
I was fortunate enough to have a couple of extra days in town after a work retreat. What an amazing experience. I spent an hour in this room.
