Found abandoned clothes and bag on Nha Trang beach for 2 days. Already informed beach staff, but they did nothing

Yesterday we noticed a pile of clothes, shoes and a backpack left directly on the beach in Nha Trang.

Today we came back to the exact same area and everything was still there in almost the same position.

We started feeling a bit uneasy about it because it honestly looks abandoned, although hopefully we are just overthinking this.

We already informed the guys managing the beach chairs / umbrellas nearby. They looked at it, sat back down and basically did nothing.

Now we genuinely don’t know what the correct thing to do is.

Should tourists call local police in a situation like this in Vietnam, or would that be considered overreacting?

We are not touching the stuff or opening the bag obviously. Just trying to understand what locals would normally do here.

This seafood hotpot in Nha Trang was so good

Seafood, herbs, squid, prawns, fish and noodles.

Tiny plastic-chair place full of locals. Honestly ended up being one of my favorite meals in Vietnam so far.
