Could I get some help diagnosing my E. sotetsu kirin please? Why are the lower leaves of the main stem turning yellow and falling off? It has an excellent draining substrate and I earlier unpotted it to inspect the roots, which are fine (nothing mushy) and growing healthy new white roots. Recently I saw what looked like spider webs between some of the leaves but I washed them off under running water and started applying abamectin (suspecting spider mites) — how is the prognosis? I recently moved this plant to a stronger grow light shelf with cooling fans, which aren't blowing directly at the plant, but it didn't have this yellowing issue before the move. I wonder if it's a water issue. Interestingly, this plant has a mutated pup (pic 5)!

Also, can anyone tell if these flowers are male/female?

[2nd image] Is this normal growth? I got this plant a month ago and I'm not sure why these pups/branches look a little monstrose. The mother plant has other normal-looking branches so I'm not sure what's up with these ones!

The seed pod and the attached stem seem to have dried out, so I'm not sure if it will burst open. Any advice for germinating this from seed? It came with a fruit when I bought it (lucky me), but I can't find information about how to germinate this one. Google says to soak the seeds in water overnight, but is that trustworthy information...?
