Update: my second ghost snapped my neck

I tried again, actually got some evidence with ghost orbs and cold temperature. Then it rushed at me while I was wandering around with the camera and I tried to record it and died lol. A good start to my career.

What do you do when ghosts scare you?

I'm trying to practice this game to play with much more experienced friends, and the ghosts break things, knock them over, etc and I'm unsure if I'm supposed to do something with that. Is it just for atmosphere and can't kill me or is it meant to be a piece of evidence?

Is it worth playing the DLC after the bad ending?

Because Ciri dying and Geralt sitting down to let a horde of monsters kill him really bummed me out. And I just don't have it in me to spend 60+ hours replaying it to game a different one.
