I got my husband a cat he never wanted

This is Nala. She is in love with my husband. If he’s around she has to be touching him, and it doesn’t matter the position she ends up.

Casting dissection animal?

I have been using resin for over 20 years. By no means am I an expert. I’ve just learned through a lot of trial and error and patience. I also teach high school Anatomy &Physiology. This past year we dissected rats while learning the circulatory system and one of the specimen I was able to isolate veins and arteries to near perfection. Would it be possible and not a complete waste of time to resin the rat? These were animals ordered by the teacher before me so I have no idea how long they’ve been sitting in storage, but they were preserved in formalin. (For further context, formalin is a preservative aqueous solution that is ~40% formaldehyde and 10-15% methanol. The rats have been in storage so long most of them were barely damp when removed from their packaging. And this particular one has been sitting in a storage container since mid-April) I was thinking if I did multiple layers I could add in string and a key to identify parts to make it a study tool. While I don’t want to be the weird teacher that resins the animals, I see this as a great learning opportunity for my students. Plus, I asked what they thought and they loved the idea. Any advice? Ideas? Special resin?
