Celebrating my husband's birthday tomorrow! We did dinner tonight and I'd love to pick up something special so we can sing Happy Birthday. It doesn't need to be an entire cake, I'm just looking for something small - like an incredible mini cake, pastry, or any dessert that's truly worth going out of your way for. Looking for your favorite spots within about 15–20 minutes of White Plains. Where would you send me?

Does anyone know where I can find Kook Soon Dang Draft Makgeolli (the green bottle) near White Plains? I know there’s an H Mart in Hartsdale, but I don’t think they carry it. Thanks!

Looking for a great Thai or Asian restaurant for my husband’s birthday this weekend, similar vibe to O Mandarin (nice sit-down spot, awesome food, but still relaxed and even toddler-friendly for an early dinner).

We’d love somewhere thats in an area that has some sort of activities beforehand to make a late afternoon out of it (even if it’s walking around, grabbing a coffee, or exploring stores). We’re willing to drive, even to CT, so if it’s worth the trip, we’re in!

Did anyone else in the White Plains/West Harrison area hear a loud boom around 9:30 PM tonight? It was loud enough to make us stop and wonder what on earth that was. Curious if anyone knows what it was or heard it too.

We're considering a move to White Plains and really love some of the neighborhoods. The schools seem fine to me but I keep hearing mixed things. Separately, I've heard that many Jewish families in White Plains send their kids to Leffell.

We're but not particularly religious and our kids would likely attend public school. For Jewish families with kids in the public schools, do your children still find a good Jewish peer group? We’re not particularly religious, but it would be nice for our kids to have friends who also celebrate Passover, attend bar/bat mitzvahs, and share some of those common experiences.

Is there a sizable Jewish community in the public schools or do many families tend to gravitate toward Leffell? We’d appreciate any perspective from parents who’ve made this decision.

Went in for my annual physical at Summit Health as a standard preventative visit. Apparently because I mentioned some concerns that I had, which was that I was feeling tired, they no longer counts as preventative care.

Now they’re reviewing it internally and calling me to make a decision on their end.

So basically don’t bring up health concerns at your doctor appointment if you want your preventative visit covered? Wtf?
