Group rides for people of color?

Hello. I’ve been a part of Minneapolis cycling for a while now. I love the group ride scene. Truly the community is awesome. I’ve noticed though that it’s like, really white. Really, really, white.

I get that it’s just the reality of being a person of color and living in Minnesota, but are there group rides that focus on connecting people of color in the cycling community? Every group ride is so white it actually gets to be a little uncomfortable if im being honest. I just kinda deal with it but it would be nice if there was an alternative.

Edit: Thanks for the suggestions. Main ones people mentioned:
EZ Bike Club
Major Taylor Minnesota
Venture Bikes / Slow Roll TC
Angry Catfish rides
Melanin in Motion / Twin Cities BIPOC Outdoors
Biking With Baddies

Also appreciate the validation

As bike commuters we deal with a lot of weather, especially those who cycle through winter and rain. Over the years I’ve found that some pieces of clothing are just so good for many different situations.

My most valuable piece of clothing is a nylon shell anorak and patagonia torrentshell rain jacket. They’re both pretty similar, a hard shell layer.

Having a hard shell layer is a game changer. The anorak is oversized a bit and i can fit the hood over my helmet and layers underneath. rear kangaroo type pocket for gloves and other small things. Blocks the wind very well. I’ve biked with both in 60 to -20 degrees winters. The key is layering under. With the right layers I can use it for almost 3/4 of the year. it also has a large reflective logo on the back.

Curious what other good pieces of clothing yall have found ocer the year?
