Trash panda

I couldnt help but put my own spin on the Racoon trend (after seeing so much Jimothy footage). Sadly we dont have these cute little faces here so I will have to make do with my little desk trash panda :D

But really noone could say no to that face right? Especially not when there are apples on offer.

Hope you like him :)

EOI Cozy Racoon in a box - Pattern test

Hello me again!

I am looking for a few people to test out my most recent pattern, but there is a catch (unfortunately)

I am looking for preferably 5 people who would be willing to test this pattern for me within 7 days of recieving it. I aim to send the pattern out to testers over the weekend.

It is quick to work up (2hrs or under) and is low sew (only head and ears to be sewn and white eyebrows)

I have it ranked as intermediate, however I think a confident beginner could get through the pattern.

Materials needed:

\\-Your choice of yarn (I used 4ply cotton and 2mm hook)

\\- embroidery cotton

Requirements

\\- Be able to finish within 7 days of receiving the pattern (est 16 Aug)

\\- can share feedback and clear images of the completed pattern.

\\- If you have Instagram please please please share the love and follow me, I unashamedly need followers, I'll happily follow you back (@rainbowcoffee.crochet)

Photography - pattern making

How is everyone photographing their projects during making them.

I have just finished a pattern and thought I had used a nice backdrop / not horrible lighting and then when I plug them into my canva they are actually quite blah and inconsistent colours even after editing them.

I'm struggling a bit with lighting as we have no natural light in our house (literally).

So what is your setup / light setup? Or do you think I'm over thinking it?

This is all quite hilarious as I am a photographer but inside product phone photography is most definitely not my niche.

I currently use my phone for my progress images, however I do have my actual work camera (Nikon z6) I could use. Just a bit clunky for quick progress images.

Image included pre-editing just on my phone.

Anal Furunculosis (Graphic)

Just wondering if anyone here has had any experience with Anal furunculosis in the sphynx (or cat in general)

Our poor boy Robin (7) came up with a bruise near his tail 4 months ago which proceeded to weep and then pop on the way to emergency vet. We assumed our younger sphynx had bitten him and given him an abscess so treated accordingly.

It was odd though as our young sphynx does not mark his skin when he play attacks him and it's always around the head.

Then 4 weeks ago another one showed up on the other bumcheek (we didn't realise at the time, we thought it was same buttock) , we instantly went to the vets who took him in to surgery. They cut out the suspected area and sent it away for biopsy and to be cultured(grown). Results came back. Keratinous cyst (sorry was a big long name) but they were sure they got it all and no problems. Again we hadn't realized it was a different side. Culters came back negative for any bacteria / growing anything.

Then now just after it all heals up another one appears at the same location. Again to vets. Thankfully no surgery as clearly that wasn't the right choice the first time.

Vets are stumped. They believe it is extremely rare case of Anal furinculosis where his body is attacking his anal gland area.

We are now on steroids and trying to heal the wound. Which is doing well but there are still dissolvable stitches in the area from the last surgery.

Wondering if anyone has had anything similar?

Looking to book Ryokan in Hakone including Kaiseki

Good evening!

I am hoping you can help me and I promise I have tried to research this but seem to be hitting road blocks. I understand I am way too early to actually book but would love to see what places are actually available in the area and approximate prices so I can plan appropriately.

We travelled to Japan this year in April so I generally know the process for hotels etc, but I am struggling where to find Ryokans in Hakone (I know there are many)

I have tried Booking.com and Expedia, as well as trying rakuten (however this one gives me a no internet error, so will have to try on a computer) we are a family of 3 (with a 11year old) so looking for family friendly. Preferably a private onsen and I would like us to have a traditional Kaiseki dinner. I just don't know how to find Ryokans on booking or Expedia that have the Kaiseki.

I am completely open that I am probably doing something wrong. I appreciate any and all help.

I am also open to recommendations from anyone's favourite places to research, money isn't a huge consideration as I am looking for the experience.
