As requested.

Posting this for u/Trurocknrolla, who asked for it some time ago now. At the time I had planned on doing the entire set, not just the one, but since things have changed I'm posting it now to fulfill that prior request. Much later than intended, but I'd feel bad if I didn't deliver after saying I would.

Scanned from vol XXIV of the In Classics CD collection.

LoGH book sale + giveaway

It's that time again for me to clear out some of the too-much-stuff I have. No laserdiscs this time around (thank god), but I still have a lot of duplicates/triplicates/moreplicates of things, along with some other odds and ends, that other people may have some interest in. Just as before these are all priced to go, not to profit, with the added benefit of cheap domestic media mail shipping within the US (beats international any day, believe me). Also just as before, I have some items I will be giving away for free.

This time, the freebies are the German BDs for the first two cours of DNT—all they ever produced, less than even Funi's English dub. These are official from Leonine, still sealed, with the chipboard slip cases. Why are these free? Because an international shipping snafu resulted in me ending up with two complete sets for the price of one, which I really don't need (I probably have too many DNT sets as is).

  • WARNING: these are Euro imports and will only work with players/software that are either region free or Region B compatible (North America and Japan both use Region A). They also do not include any English subtitles of language tracks, being dual language Japanese/German only. I got them for the novelty, and they are novel.

I'll also be giving away illustration cards commemorating the completion of Fujisaki's manga adaptation, to be included as supplies last. These are B5 on stiff cardstock with metallic silver print, double sided and sealed. I have over a dozen of these to give away as I see fit, because reasons. Worth having just for Bittenfeld.

All the photos are of the actual items, and I can provide more as needed. All items are official; the molcar BD is just there to show scale (it's a standard size BD and the closest one I had on hand at the time). All prices are negotiable and do not include shipping.

Novels + references

  • Tokuma Novels, no obi, complete with gaiden, 14 vols total. The original tankouban print run from the '80s with the cool cover art by Naoyuki Katō for the mainline novels, and Katsumi Michihara on the gaiden. Although not as polished as later releases, it's the only set of novels to include little illustrations inside the text. $15 for the lot.
  • Tokuma Dual Bunko, with obi, 20 vols complete for the main novels, no gaiden. This is an interesting little set of the novels in bunko format that was intended to be easier to read for younger readers—each novel is split into two volumes, and it includes furigana for some of the more difficult kanji. Even numbered volumes end with an interview with the author, making for ten interviews total. Covers and artwork all by Katsumi Michihara, and each novel has a full colour illustration inside. $20 for the lot, image for scale.
  • some reference books: the 10th Anniversary Encyclopedia (hardcover, no obi, reads left to right), the 15th Anniversary Revised Encyclopedia (softcover, no obi), the 15th Anniversary Reader (softcover, no obi) and the Introductory Remarks (softcover, with obi). The encyclopedias are fairly self explanatory and include art from Katsumi Michihara, the reader opens with some gloss full colour pages and collects the gaiden short stories, with some interviews and other odds and ends, and the remarks is a text only reference book with some basic analysis. $5 each, image for scale.

Manga + comics

  • Katsumi Michihara's manga adaptation, Animage Chara Comics, complete 11 vol run + Golden Wings (first run, with sticker sheet), no obi. Slightly larger than modern/standard tankouban. Image features what the front and back of each volume looks like. $15 for the lot, image for scale.
  • Michihara's manga in aizou format, Animage Comics Special, complete 6 vol run, mixed obi. Larger sized volumes with at the time new cover art, weighty due to higher paper quality. $20 for the lot, image for scale.
  • Portrait of Heroes, Ryu Comics, complete 4 vol run, no obi. The continuation of Michihara's original manga, in the same tanko format. Two complete sets available, one of which has the infamous Yang-in-shades alt cover. $5 per set.
  • Michihara's manga in bunko format, Tokuma Comics, complete 8+3 vol run, no obi. The black vols are the original manga, while the white are Portrait of Heroes. Bunko = fun sized. $15 for the lot, image for scale.
  • Ryū Fujisaki's manga adaptation, Young Jump Comics (YJC), vols 1~23, mixed obi. This adaptation only recently completed earlier this year with vol 35, so this will give you most of the entire run. $32 for the lot (because last time I offered $30 for the first 20 vols and it wouldn't be fair to price them the same way with three extra books).
  • some official fanwork books: All Ships Sortie!! (vols 1~3) and the Ad-Lib special. These are compilation books of silly little gag comics and other fanworks that were put together and officially released back in the day. There's an extra copy of vol 1 for All Ships Sortie!! and the Ad-Lib has a mini-disc drama CD. $10 for All Ships Sortie!!, $5 for the Ad-Lib and $3 for the spare, image for scale.
  • the anicomics, vols 1~10 & 21~24 + both Conquest vols. These are anime comics, which was kind of a popular thing back in the early to mid-90s, where they would take stills from the anime and put it together with speech bubbles to make a comic book. As such they're full colour and very, very heavy when compared to normal manga. Each volume is an entire episode, and Conquest was split across two. Vol 10 has a misprinted cover, which is honestly more common than the non-misprinted version. $30 for the lot, image for scale.

Random stuff

  • some CDs: the OST for Conquest and the first Theme Song Collection (both with obi), the limited edition single for Wish (digipak), and the season 4 box for the OVA (3-disc set). $5 each for the CDs, $10 for the box-set.
  • the chess set, complete with case and board. This was a special order item that released alongside one of the older DVD collections. Surprisingly decent plastic for what it is and the pieces are solid, though the board is just cardstock. Each piece has the character's name engraved on the front and the corresponding Staunton mark on the back. Only thing missing is the thin cardboad box it originally came in. $20 for the set, image for scale.
  • the...Neuenthal pack? Vol 9 of the DNT BDs had a separate pre-order date from the two prior vols, and that resulted in my dumbass ordering two on accident, both shipped separately. It was easier to eat the extra 12,000¥ + shipping than to deal with an international return. Vol 9 of the DNT tie-in novels arrived with a shredded obi due to a hack-pack job so I had to buy another one to rectify that (before getting it again when the box-set released). This is how I ended up with extra Neuenthals. Because he's unlucky. $20 for both, only because the BD alone still goes for considerably more than that.
  • trading cards. lots. of. trading cards. I'll be up front and admit I have no idea how to price these. Most usually go for a few bucks each in the aftermarket, and there's no real measure of rarity like with your typical TCG. I have a bunch of these, including enough to make a near complete set just with spares alone (110 out of 126 cards, not including specials). The only thing here I'll play by ear. Pastebin list with available cards exactly as printed—WxY5gYr8.

Drop me a line if you're interested in anything. Shipping will be determined by the post office. Other details can be sorted as needed.
